The 2017 Bassmaster season is on the horizon and it will be here before we know it. There are some incredible lakes and rivers on the schedule, in what looks to be one of the most exciting collections of bass fisheries the Elite Series has ever visited in a single year. The first half of the season primarily features shallow and mid-depth fishing for big largemouths, while the later half of the Elite season will be all about catching big smallmouth bass in deeper water and light line.
I also qualified for the Bassmaster Classic again, and plan to fish all three Central Opens. The final Central Open of 2017 will be held on my “home” waters – Oklahoma’s Grand Lake ’O The Cherokees (just plain “Grand” to us Okies). Can hardly wait!
All in all, from the Classic, to the Elites to the Central Opens, I’m looking forward to another fun, challenging and rewarding season.
